The Story

This beautiful marine scene features a wonderfully preserved 18” Guitar Ray, naturally associated with a crustacean and four other fish species. Locality: Haqil - Byblos - Lebanon. Age: Cenomanian, Upper Cretaceous, C4, 100 million years old.

Though there is repair to the matrix the fossil specimens are essentially unrestored, with only minor touch ups along repair lines. You rarely see this many different species preserved in association on one slab.

Matrix measures approximately 27.5 x 16 x 0.25 Inches. Guitar ray measures 18” in total.
