Lined with large, deep purple crystals, this 118-pound Amethyst Geode piece is considered jewellery grade (the highest grade) due to the quality and colour of its crystals.

Amethyst has been prized for centuries due to its luscious colour and inherent beauty. Classified as a semi-precious gemstone, historically, it has been valued en par with diamonds and rubies. Known as the birthstone of February, amethyst is associated with contentment and calmness.

Interestingly, the name comes from the Ancient Greek "amethustos," meaning not intoxicated. It was believed to protect people from drunkenness!
